1. What is tmnet streamyx?
   tmnet streamyx is a broadband internet access that provides an ¡§always on¡¨ internet connection at speeds ranging from 512Kbps up to 2.0Mbps. With high-speed connectivity/bandwidth, this service is ideal for broadband applications such as Web Hosting, video streaming, e-commerce, distance learning and others.

2. What technology is used?
   The technology used for tmnet streamyx is xDSL. The xDSL types chosen to support tmnet streamyx network are ADSL and SDSL technologies.

3. How fast is tmnet streamyx?
   The packages range from 512k up to 2Mbps Internet access speed on a best effort basis.

4. I am a business applicant. Can I subscribe to tmnet streamyx¡¦s basic package?
   No. tmnet streamyx¡¦s basic package is only for personal use. Business applicants can subscribe to either tmnet streamyx enterprise or corporate packages.

5. Can I subscribe to tmnet streamyx online?
   Yes. TM Net has an Online Registration facility for tmnet streamyx which even allows you to check for service availability before you register online. You can also check your application status online regardless of whether you registered online or offline at a TM Net centre.

6. Are there any requirements that I have to fulfill before I register online?
   Yes. To apply for tmnet streamyx online:
   - you must be the owner of a telephone line and;
   - not black listed by TM Net
   * You can visit Clickers or the nearest TMpoint (formerly known as Kedai Telekom) if you are not sure whether you comply with the requirements stated above.

7. Can I resell the services?
   No.

8. What happens if I receive a call while accessing the Internet?
   You can answer the phone while you¡¦re connected to the net. The Internet access service will not be interrupted as your telephone set is connected to a microfilter, which separates voice and data signal. This is applicable for ADSL subscribers only. SDSL does not support telephony.

9. What is the tmnet streamyx minimum subscription period?
   You have to subscribe for a minimum of 1 (ONE) year. If you terminate your account before the 1 year is up, you will need to pay the service fees for the remainder of the 1 year.

10. Can I have more than one tmnet streamyx connection to my premise?
    Yes, as long as you have enough telephone lines to accommodate the connections. Each tmnet streamyx connection requires one direct/dedicated telephone line.

1. How do I apply for tmnet streamyx via eCosway?
   You can do this Offline or Online:
   OFFLINE (Documents required)

   Required documents: - For Streamyx Basic - photocopy of IC (for Malaysians) / Passport (for non-Malaysians). - For Streamyx Soho, Enterprise and Corporate - photocopy of Forms D, B or A, Forms 9, 49 and Forms 24 or 23 (whichever applicable)

   
   
   1. Fill out tmnet streamyx official application form and eCosway Referral Form available at all Cosway Sales Centres and TMnet State Representative centres (see listing behind) or download from www.partnermerchants/streamyx.

      For Current subscribers who wish to UPGRADE: Please tick ¡§Upgrade¡¨

      Important: Please state your correct Business Owner ID or Cosway Account Number on the form.

   2. Fax the forms with the required documents directly to TMnet operations center at: 03-2687 0000, or submit them to any TMnet state representatives nationwide.
      

   ONLINE (No documentation required)
   
   Fill out the tmnet streamyx official application form online at www.tm.net.my/html/pstreamyx_application.cfm and submit online.

2. How do I install tmnet streamyx?
   
   • Without modem¡¦ package
     You will be provided with tmnet streamyx self-installation CD (you save RM 88.00 on the installation fee). However, if you are unable to complete the installation by yourself and require assistance, a fee of RM 88.00 will be charged.
     
   • ¡¥With modem¡¦ package
     For applications under this package, a tmnet installer will be contacting you for an installation appointment. You are required to ensure that all equipment requirements are fulfilled before the installation. An installation fee of RM 88.00 will be charged.
     
3. How is the eV calculated?
   The eV calculation according to packages is as follows:

4. How do I calculate the eV for upgrade packages?
   You will earn eV based on the value difference between the current and upgrade packages.
   
5. When will the eV be credited to the Business Owner's account?
   eV generated from transactions in the previous month will be posted on the Business Owner's "eCosway Rewards Transaction Statement" (see sample below) in his / her Online Office by the 15th of the following month. eV earned from the program can be viewed in two ways:
   
   a. ONLINE - Details of and eV generated from each transaction during the previous month will be posted on the "eCosway Rewards Transaction Statement" (see sample below) in the Business Owner's Online Office by the 15th of the following month.
   
   b. OFFLINE - eCosway also sends Business Owners a printed "eCosway Rewards Transactions Summary" (see sample below) that is sent together with the Monthly Income Statement. This summary will show only the cumulative eV for the transaction month.
   
   

   Note: eV from Rewards Transactions will be put into profit calculation for the month the eV is posted to our system (which is not necessarily the month it was earned in).In the sample statement and summary below, 57.0 eV was generated from transactions made in the month of November and will be put into profit calculation for December.

6. Do Business Owners earn Card Value Points (CVPs) from this program?
   Not from the tmnet streamyx program itself, but they can earn 1 CVP per RM 100 charged if they use an eCosway Alliance Bank Credit Card to pay the streamyx bill.
   
7. How does a Business Owner find out about his / her CVPs earned from the program?
   Any CVPs earned during the previous month will be posted in the Business Owner's "My Value Points / eAccount" section (see below) of his / her eCosway Online Office by the 15th of every month. The figure shown is the total accumulated CVPs from policy payments using an eCosway Alliance Bank Credit Card, and from other CVP-generating programs. The CVPs for individual transactions will not be shown.

8. If a Business Owner's eV Reserve option is 'ON', what happens to the eV earned from the tmnet streamyx subscription and bill payments?
   The system will apply ALL eV earned from tmnet streamyx payments. No eV will be kept in reserve even if your eV Reserve option is 'ON'.

OTHERS

1. What is the difference between the exclusive eCosway packages and the normal packages?
   The exclusive packages are meant for eCosway Business Owners only while the normal packages are for eCosway Business Owners AND their referred customers. The eCosway exclusive packages come with special prices and FREE MODEM, which means that subscribers do not need to return the modem after the minimum subscription period.

2. I presently subscribe to to Streamyx Basic 1.0 (M) RM 88.00. I would like to upgrade to the eCosway special package of same price at RM 88.00 to enjoy the value added service. Can I do that?
   Yes, you can. All eCosway Business Owners may register as NEW subscriber for OR UPGRADE to any eCosway exclusive packages. However, if there is no difference between package prices, there will be no sales volume given to you.

3. I presently subscribe to Streamxy Basic 512K ¡V RM 44.00 and want to upgrade to Streamyx Basic 1M (RM 88.00 with modem) under eCosway¡¦s exclusive package. Can I do that?
   Yes, you can. All eCosway Business Owners may register as a NEW subscriber OR UPGRADE to any packages available under ¡¥eCosway exclusive packages¡¦.

4. I presently subscribe to Streamyx Enterprise SDSL 1.0M (RM 618.00) and want to upgrade to Streamyx Corporate ADSL 1.0M (RM 618.00). Can I do that?
   Yes, you can. However, since there is no difference between the package values, there will not be any sales volume given.
